About Moisson Montréal

A non-profit organization founded in 1984, Moisson Montréal is today the largest food bank in Canada. Through its centre for collecting, sorting and distributing emergency food assistance, the organization allocates nearly 800 tons of food per month to more than 240 accredited community organizations on the Island of Montreal. In turn, these organizations provide food assistance to 140,000 people, including more than 20,000 children between the ages of 0 and 5. About Five Hole For Food

Five Hole For Food is an initiative of hockey fans from Vancouver. This great adventure began in March 2010 as after incredible Olympic Games in British Columbia, the Canadian spirit, the collaboration and the passion were tangible from an ocean to the other. Conscious that hockey could be used as a vehicle for social change, a small idea became a grand movement. The result? A trip from St-John to Vancouver via Montreal with for objective to collect food and monetary donations while increasing awareness of the population in the importance of the food banks in Canada, while these largely need it.
