Montreal, April 8, 2015 \u2013<\/strong> A few days before the completion of the fourth edition of the Great Food Drive for Children<\/a>, the three Moissons of the Greater Montreal area: Moisson Montr\u00e9al<\/a>, Moisson Rive-Sud <\/a>and the Centre de b\u00e9n\u00e9volat et moisson Laval<\/a>, have raised close to $ 100,000. “United for our little ones” is not only the campaign\u2019s slogan, it appeals to the generosity of the public to reach the $ 250,000 goal needed by April 10, to make a real difference in the lives of thousands of families living in poverty and struggling to meet their children\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

“Thefundamental right to feed oneself is at the core of our mission, and a healthy diet plays a crucial role in preventing chronic diseases and various health issues. If every resident of the Greater Montreal area donates $ 0.05 by Friday, we will reach our goal. Otherwise, 20,000 children aged between 0 and 5 in the Greater Montreal area who are at risk of suffering because we have a shortage of essential goods for toddlers”, says Dany Michaud, Executive Director of Moisson Montreal.<\/p>\n
