Reporting to the Director of Business Development and working closely with the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for scheduling the daily pick-ups of drivers. The position uses various technological tools to track and contribute to the smooth running of the commodity pickup activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
– Plan and coordinate the pick-up of commodities by establishing the daily routes of the drivers;
– Monitor the progress of pick-ups in real time to ensure execution according to the planned deployment and the drivers’ schedules;
– Ensure effective support to the drivers and solve specific problems;
– Ensure the follow-up of fuel invoices;
– Participate in the verification of charges, billing and claims related to transportation;
– Keep the Logistics Manager informed of problems and present possible solutions;
– Replace the Logistics Manager as needed;
– Develop and maintain reports related to the Logistics Department (Tip);
– Maintain daily roadmap, logistics dashboard and communicate relevant information to the operations team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
– DEC in transportation logistics or related field;
– Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar position;
– Knowledge and ease with computer tools;
– Fluency in written and spoken French. Functional English;
– Interpersonal and communication skills;
– Strong time management and organizational skills.
– Collaborative and team-oriented;
– Ability to manage stress;
– Knowledge of the agri-food sector an asset;
– Possession of a class 3 license is an asset.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS :
– Available to work as early as 6:00 a.m.

– A salary between $46,631 and $58,289 per year for this position;
