Moisson Montréal is the largest food bank in Canada in terms of foodstuffs distributed.

According to the 2010-2011 annual report and Hunger Count 2011 (* in French only)

• 8.9 millions kgs of food an other essential products are distributed to community organisations
• The foodstuffs distributed had a value of $45.5 million
• 212 community organisations on the island of Montreal
• 148,460 Montrealers, 41,258 of them children, were reached per month
• About 150 suppliers provide foods to Moisson Montréal
• 3 740 seasonal and regular volunteers
• 40 employees

Moisson Montréal is a member of :

• The Canadian Association of Food Banks (CAFB)
• The Association québécoise des banques alimentaires et des Moissons (AQBAM)

As members of those associations, we benefit from provincial and national agreements with agri-food suppliers regarding our supply. Considering the size of our facilities, we also assume the role of managing the redistribution of national and provincial donations which are assigned to the 17 other food banks in Quebec.
